About the role
The successful candidate will be working on commercial projects installing & removal of prefabricated modular buildings and construction of mining camps on a 2/1 FIFO roster.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Follow building plans to meet the needs of clients.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as verandas and modular buildings.
- Measure, cut, or shape wood and other materials.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Help erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
- Form and pour concrete including finishing.
- Participation and attendance of pre-start meetings on site.
Requirements
- Trade Certificate (Certificate III in Carpentry).
- White Card essential.
- RIO Tinto Inducted advantageous.
- Working at Heights and EWP tickets essential.
- Rigging and Scaffolding tickets advantageous.
- Ability to pass a Pre Employment medical.
