About the role

The successful candidate will be working on commercial projects installing & removal of prefabricated modular buildings and construction of mining camps on a 2/1 FIFO roster.

The main responsibilities of the role are: 

• Follow building plans to meet the needs of clients.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as verandas and modular buildings.
• Measure, cut, or shape wood and other materials.
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Help erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
• Form and pour concrete including finishing.
• Participation and attendance of pre-start meetings on site.

Requirements

• Trade Certificate (Certificate III in Carpentry).
• White Card essential.
• RIO Tinto Inducted advantageous.
• Working at Heights and EWP tickets essential.
• Rigging and Scaffolding tickets advantageous.
• Ability to pass a Pre Employment medical.
