Carpet Cleaning And Restoration Technician

We're currently looking for someone to fill a position as a carpet Restoration Technician - note I said technician, not just a cleaner!

We're looking for a person with experience in high standards of customer service, who takes pride in their work with the desire to be the best they can, looking for flexible working hours (generally between 8am – 5pm weekdays, every second Saturday and the very occasional after-hours job)  and able to work independently and unsupervised.

The suitable candidate will need to lift heavy equipment and therefore need be fit, with clean presentation and communication skills a must. A National Police Clearance and clean, MANUAL driver’s license will also be required. Industry experience not essential as full training will be provided to Fresh Aire Carpet Cleaning standards, but customer service experience will be beneficial. You will also need to be an Australian resident or citizen ONLY and this is a non-negotiable; this is for a long-term position with a well-established company. 

The job will require someone willing to learn the technicalities of carpet construction, fibres, chemical and physical properties and must be willing to undergo formal training at the start and ongoing as well, with up to 4 workshops a year to be attended. Age is open.

The work will be varied, with leather cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, odour control, protection services, upholstery Cleaning and stain removal and carpet recolouring being part of the everyday services we provide.

Pay will start with the award rate during your probationary/training period, and then become the award PLUS profit sharing for hitting certain targets - the more you work, the more you earn! Plus, you will also get your Superannuation, holidays with 17.5% leave loading as well as your personal/carers leave.

All equipment and uniforms will be supplied, along with a vehicle and phone that you will be taking home that the successful applicant will be responsible for looking after.
