Cartage Coordinator

Our client is a leading player in the freight forwarding industry, specializing in FCL and LCL services. With a commitment to excellence, they are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Cartage Coordinator to join their dynamic workforce.

Responsibilities: As a Cartage Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients and overseeing the end-to-end logistics process.

Key Responsibilities Include

Client Portfolio Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their freight requirements are met efficiently
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing regular updates on shipments

FCL and LCL Coordination

• Coordinate and oversee the transportation of Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments
• Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of cargo, optimizing routes and minimizing transit times

Customs Compliance

• Manage the payment of GSTs and duties, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and update processes accordingly

IT Proficiency

• Utilise Cargowise, to track and monitor shipments
• Input and update relevant information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records

Qualifications

• Proven experience in freight forwarding with a focus on FCL and LCL shipments
• Strong understanding of customs compliance, including GSTs and duties
• Familiarity with Cargowise or similar logistics management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
