The County Court Criminal Division hears indictable offences under Victorian and Commonwealth law, as well as appeals from the Magistrates Court and Children's Court both in Melbourne and across regional Victoria.
The Criminal Division Administration Team is comprised of four functional areas, Criminal Registry Services, Case Management, Court Resources and Allocations and Practice and Procedure. Led by the Director, together they are responsible for all administrative activities that sustain the operations of the Division, delivering critical services to Court users and the judiciary.
The Case Management Team is comprised of Division Lawyers, Case Administrators and Associates working with and supporting judicial officers in the state-wide management of cases and liaising directly with practitioners in order to identify and resolve issues as early as possible in the case management lifecycle.
The successful candidate will support the active case management of matters within the Case Management Team. The role will involve confirming appearances and arranging video links for hearings, operating in-court technology, and providing administrative support to Judicial Registrars and Criminal Division Lawyers.
