Bankstown Womens Health centre is looking for a dedicated Case Worker and Health promotion Worker to work with women who live or work in the local community. This is an exciting role for someone qualified and experienced.
Salary package in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability industrial awards 2010 (SCHCADS) dependent on qualifications and experience.
Under Sec31 (2) of the Anti-Discrimination Act to be a woman is a genuine occupational requirement for this position.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Intake, Assessments, Screening, and referrals and
- experienced in casework supporting women who have experienced domestic violence.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in case notes, working in intervention, family support, Womens Health issues
- computer software applications, and data bases.
- Understanding of WHS practices
- Relevant tertiary qualifications/ or relevant experience in the field
- Demonstrated experience in Community Development or other community work
- Demonstrated experience in working in the NGO sector, and community services work
- Knowledge of women’s issues, particularly those which relate to domestic violence, trauma and Womens Issues
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Commitment and capacity to implement quality management principles
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team
- Demonstrated experience in working with CALD populations
- Commitment to feminist philosophy and principles
- Demonstrated experience delivering information sessions and group work
Desirable Criteria:
- Bi lingual, Arabic speaking, or Vietnamese speaking
- Knowledge of the Fairfield LGA and Services
- Demonstrated experience advocating for clients
A Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check will be required for the successful applicant
