We’re planning on opening a new site in Armadale, so we’re looking for a Case Worker (on a fixed-term contract) who loves to work independently and make that inspirational impact at the grass roots! What you’ll be doing
To start your day, you’ll probably call into Belmont to have a quick cuppa, then head out to a variety of services (Schools, Community Centres, Libraries) located in Armadale and Byford. You’ll engage with our young people, provide individualised case management support, informal counselling, assessment, and network with local organisations, with the opportunity to deliver some program-based group work. And let’s not forget the nitty-gritty, including taking case notes, data entry and report preparation. At the end of your day, you’ll probably feel pretty chuffed. So, you should. You’ll be great in this role if you…
Have a Cert IV (or greater) in Youth Work, Education, Community Work, Social Work or other relevant discipline and equivalent experience
Have experience working with culturally diverse clients, vulnerable young people and youth at risk
Understand how to best engage, listen and build rapport with young people
Current C class driver’s license.
Can obtain National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
Can obtain a HLTAID003 First Aid certificate
Can obtain a Food Handling/Safety Certificate (Desirable)
