We are seeking a skilled & experienced Caseworker – Integrated Domestic & Family Violence Service (IDFVS) to join our passionate team on the Central Coast and work with women & children who are escaping or recovering from violence and abuse and provide them with options to purse a better life. Support is provided through ongoing practical and emotional support for victim/survivors to meet their needs and ensure safety. The program also works with users of violence, as long as it doesn’t compromise the safety and wellbeing of victim/survivors and other family members.
The main objective of the role is to provide effective, client centred, trauma informed, high quality case management services to clients of our IDFVS team. Our Caseworkers provide direct support, safety audits and planning, advocacy and education where required to women with or without children planning to stay, leave or escape a violent relationship. IDFVS case workers utilise a best practise model to deliver therapeutic outcomes, build client capabilities and safety and drive and promote change.

This is a 6 month, fixed-term contract opportunity and we offer a flexible working arrangement. The position is based in Tuggerah and will require you to travel across the Central Coast visiting families in their residential homes or in the Community.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high quality, short term, comprehensive case management to support Families.
- Provide support through advocacy, safety planning and collaboration with other services.
- Provide timely intake and triage assessment.
- Delivery of group facilitation on Family education
- Develop and foster strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders and community groups including NSW Police, Department of Communities and Justice NSW Health etc;
- Professional record keeping and information sharing consistent with legislation relating to NSW Privacy and Confidentiality, Child Protection and Safer Pathway obligations.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Case Management working with victims of domestic violence.
- Understanding of the NSW Human Services Outcomes Framework.
- Solid knowledge of parenting programs and an ability to facilitate such programs.
- Demonstrated practice experience relating to current Child Protection and DFV legislation.
- Ability to demonstrate networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to provide strong and respectful advocacy in situations of high pressure and competing agendas.
- Ability to manage crisis or safety situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A Working With Children Check and Criminal History Check.
- A NSW Driver's Licence and insured vehicle.
