About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Educator (Cert III or Diploma) who has experience with the 0-6 age group and a passion to inspire and lead other educators.
The role requires an educator who can:
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment;
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences;
- Observe and assess children's learning;
- Build positive relationships with children and families;
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals.
About You
As a Casual Assistant Educator, you will bring demonstrated knowledge in the childcare industry. You will have exceptional communication skills with high levels of care and empathy.
You will have:
- A “paid employment” Qld blue card
- A Diploma of Children’s Services or Certificate 3 in Children’s Services or approved equivalent qualification;
- Solid understanding of National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF);
- Good knowledge of Child Protection and Workplace OH&S legislation;
- Knowledge of health, hygiene and the nutrition needs of children;
- Proven understanding of administrative functions;
- Priorities staff health and wellbeing;
- Willingness to cover Annual Leave, Sick Leave for permanent staff and willing to work odd hours and be called in as needed as the service requires;
- Car licence to travel to and from your shift.
