About the role
The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3–5-year-olds.
Duties
- Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3–5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
- Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
- Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families.
Requirements
- Completion of CHCPRT025 ‘Identify & report children & young people at risk’
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
Highly Desirable
- Certificate III qualifications (or experience in Early Childhood Education)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis
