MUSWELLBOOK OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS: Team Leader
MOOSH provides high-quality programmes for children in a safe and nurturing environment that encourages learning, curiosity, creativity, and exploration for children 5–12 years of age.
During the school term, the position will be Wednesday to Friday, 25.5 hours per week.
Vacation care will be on a flexible roster, requiring additional hours and days.
Hours of operation:
- Before School Care: 6:30am to 9:00am
- After School Care: 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
- Vacation Care and Pupil-Free Days: 6:30am a.m.–5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist to develop, plan, and deliver daily quality programmes and activities for children which are safe, fun, stimulating and carry educational value.
- Supervise and support children in a fast-paced environment.
- Create an engaging and happy environment for children.
- Work as a team to ensure best practices and contribute to the centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Build meaningful relationships with your colleagues, children, families, schools, and local community.
- Knowledge and understanding of Children's Services Regulations and National Quality Standards
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum Certificate III in Childcare.
- Diploma in Children’s Services or Teaching would be highly regarded.
- Class C driver’s licence.
- Current Accredited Child Protection, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, or be willing to immediately undertake appropriate training.
- Must have current WWCC.
- Must consent to be a Responsible Person in charge in the absence of the Coordinator or when required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all MOOSH stakeholders.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
- Demonstrated organisational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and providing high-quality care.
- Ability to assist in planning and implementing programmes and routines.
- Must have knowledge of regulations MTOP, QIP & NQF.
- Patient, enthusiastic and reliable, with a positive attitude and a great sense of humour.
- Must be able to work 3 days minimum: Before-School 6:30am-9.00am & After-School 2.30pm-6pm with 2.5 hours of administration time in between shifts.
