Casual Cook - Centenary Aquatic Centre - City Venue Management
What are we looking for:
Centenary Aquatic Centre is currently looking for a Cook to support the growing needs of their Cafe. The right culture fit for our company and people is the most important attribute, however experience in a similar, high-volume and fast paced kitchen environment is desirable.
Key Requirements:
- Assist the cafe in all aspects of operations, including COGS control, customer service, food preparation, barista duties, and general cafe duties.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and exceed sales opportunities.
- Responsible for ongoing staff training and development in food delivery and service.
- Ensure compliance with all kitchen operations and WHS requirements.
- Assist with ongoing cafe development, food offering, and quality improvements.
- Maintain excellent communication with other departments and management.
Essential:
- Flexible weekend availability
- Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Café All-rounder in a similar venue
- Be outgoing and friendly
- Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume environment
- Able to work well under pressure
- Work well in a team environment
- Outgoing and have a friendly personality
- Must have positive attitude, good work ethic, team player and communication skills and willing to drive and assist in all necessary daily café duties
- Have a passion for hospitality, healthy food, coffee and customer service
- Reliable and have current RSA or willing to obtain.
- Have Australian work rights (valid for at least 12 months)
- As we are a 7 day a week operation for breakfast and lunch, we require someone flexible across the 7 days.
