About us
Family owned & operated since 1947, Coolangatta Estate is located in Shoalhaven Heads on the NSW South Coast. We offer venue hire for Weddings, Functions & Conferences, as well as operating Accommodation & Cellar Door 7 days a week.
We currently cater to a large international market 7 days per week, offering pre-ordered lunch service. “Casual Dining” is currently available to the public each Saturday (Lunch & Dinner). We open for Sunday lunch on long weekends and peak periods (November-January)
Qualifications & experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a Cook/Chef in a full-service restaurant or similar role
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Dedicated to food quality and control.
- Current FSS Certificate (or willing to obtain). Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to meet the required service times of our guests and be flexible when needed.
- Previous experience working a grill essential.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Follow the budget established by the Estate Manager
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Work with the Head Chef to manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion
