Federation Council is seeking a passionate and energetic person to join our Preschool Team in a casual capacity. As a member of this dynamic Team, the successful applicant is required to assist the Mobile Preschool service, which covers the townships of Urana, Rand, Oaklands, Daysdale and Boree Creek.
The mobile operation travels to each site on various days using existing facilities in each of the townships to facilitate the service. In the short term there is work available to support the Boree Creek service with opportunities in other locations as the need arises.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and family-friendly organisation who is focused on the delivery of excellent customer service. Educators are responsible for providing education and care for children enrolled at the service, in this role you will assist with the set up and implementation of a play-based learning environment.
Skills and experience required
- ACECQA approved Certificate III level or Diploma level qualification.
- Current First Aid Qualification, CPR, asthma, anaphylaxis training or willingness to undertake.
- Approved Child Protection Qualification.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate in a courteous and effective manner.
- Demonstrated experience in an education and care service and possessing an adequate knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and other relevant standards.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government State Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The salary will be $43.72 per hour for Certificate III qualified or $45.94 per hour for Diploma qualified, these rates include casual loading. This is a Grade 12 – 14 in Federation Council’s Salary System.
