At Eight. Restaurant & Bar we pride ourselves on taking our guests on a gastronomic journey through the diverse landscapes of South East Asian cuisine. Our menu is a fusion of contemporary flair and traditional roots, offering an exquisite selection of dishes meticulously crafted to deliver a modern twist on timeless favourites.
About the role
You will be responsible for providing and delivering exceptional service to each guest and will play a pivotal role in establishing Eight. Restaurant & Bar as a go-to destination for delightful cuisine and outstanding service.
Typical duties will include:
- Greeting and seating guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Taking orders, providing menu recommendations, and ensuring accurate order entry.
- Delivering food and beverages to tables and addressing any guest requests promptly.
- Providing exceptional service by answering questions, handling complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure efficient order preparation and delivery.
- Maintaining a clean and organised dining area, including setting up and clearing tables.
- Handling payments and processing guest bills accurately.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
About you
We are looking for someone that is passionate about delivering the ultimate experience to our guests. You will be passionate about hospitality and have at least 2+ years experience in a FOH Wait Staff role of a casual vibrant restaurant.
In addition, the successful applicant will need to have the following but not limited to:
- A Strong guest service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with wines and cocktails advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Flexible availability across Wednesday to Sunday, with the potential for additional shifts based on business needs.
- A valid RSA certificate
- Right to work in Australia
