Qualifications & experience
- Light Rigid (LR) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)
- Relevant light rigid bus driving experience
- Exposure to children and strong ability to relate well to children
- Sound knowledge of the operations of a passenger vehicle
- Strong understanding of NSW and Victorian road rules
- To provide a safe and reliable transport service for the children and community attending Halve Waste programs and events.
- To work in an efficient and effective manner with all clients and staff.
- Observe requirements of RTA and driver authority.
- To prepare Halve Waste bus for collection of children/community members including; ensuring cleanliness, safety of participants, maintaining required vehicle checks, installing booster and car seats where necessary and fuelling of bus.
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee’s skill, competence and training.
Hours
Based on a 38 hour week, working on a casual basis, with actual days and times to be negotiated with the supervisor, with no RDO.
