AddressPosition: Hospitality Casual - Sampling and Selling Alcoholic Beverages Location: Various Trade Fairs and Consumer Events Employment Type: Casual, Ongoing Basis (Weekends)
About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our team on a casual basis for weekend work at various trade fairs and consumer events in Melbourne City ( MCEC) . In this role, you will be responsible for sampling and selling alcoholic beverages to event attendees, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tastings and sampling of alcoholic beverages.
- Engage with event attendees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide detailed information about the beverages being sampled and sold.
- Operate an EFTPOS machine for sales transactions.
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations at all times.
- Assist with the setup and pack-down of event stalls.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Report sales and inventory information as required.
Requirements:
- RSA Certificate: Must hold a current and valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
- Sales Skills: Ability to sell products and handle cash and EFTPOS transactions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends on an ongoing basis.
- Flexibility: Ability to travel to various event locations as needed.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks associated with event setup and pack-down.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience in a hospitality, sales, or events role.
- Passion for the beverage industry and knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages.
- Energetic and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
