Grace College is a fully catered residential facility designed especially for the unique needs of university students. Located at the University of Queensland, Grace College welcomes all undergraduate and post-graduate students whose home is outside of Brisbane. Although Grace College is supported by the Uniting Church in Australia and the Presbyterian Church, students of all faith traditions and cultures enrich Grace College’s common life. Grace College residents are high-performing students pursuing a wide range of degrees across the full suite of faculties. Places are reserved especially for overseas students.
The Kitchen provides 3 meals a day 7 days a week at the Grace College Dining Hall during university terms.

Grace College also provides its staff with meals during working hours when the College kitchen is fully operational during university terms as well as some uniform components after completion of a probation period.
As a Kitchen Hand your duties will include but are not limited to
- Dishwashing and Kitchen Cleaning
- Responsible for cleaning of Dining Room, tables, floors and equipment
- Basic vegetable preparation
- Helping with Stock Control, Arrival and storage of goods
- Recording HAACP details as required
- Customer Service

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Willingness to work within the ethos of Grace College (refer to College Values Statement)
- Relevant experience for a minimum 2 years with appropriate practical skills utilising kitchen equipment and knives etc.
- Ability to work under general direction and collaboratively with other staff members in liaison with the Head Chef or nominated supervisor.
- You are required to either have or have the ability to obtain and hold a Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and a current QLD Police Check
- A mature approach and outlook towards your work, as well as a willingness to be adaptable in your approach as needs and requirements move.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be eligible to work to in Australia full time.
