• Venues and Catering, Sunshine Coast Campus, Sippy Downs
• $36.46 per hour, plus up to 11% employer superannuation.
• Casual position with variable hours, primarily aligning with University teaching periods

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled hospitality professional to join our fast-paced team, operating across various outlets and function venues at our Sippy Downs campus. This role offers hands-on involvement in all facets of kitchen operations, from cleaning duties to collaborative food preparation alongside our Chefs and culinary team.

To be eligible you must possess:

• Back of house food preparation with cooking experience in a high-volume situation and be available 4-5 weekdays, between 6.30am-6.30pm (Mon-Fri).

To be successful you will possess:

• at least 2 years industry expertise;
• completion of a food handling certificate and proficiency in safe food handling and cleaning practices;
• exceptional customer service and multi-tasking abilities to create a positive and efficient environment;
• strong work ethic to support a busy team whenever needed;
• readiness to perform diverse cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both the team and customers;
• flexibility to work across various food and beverage venues; and
• a commitment to maintaining personal appearance and hygiene standards.

It is a condition of employment for this position that you may be required to wear a face mask and provide periodic evidence of immunisation against communicable diseases.
