About The Opportunity
As a casual Labourer you will join a multi-disciplined team that is capable of performing a wide range of maintenance, repair and improvement activities within the Parks and Open Spaces section of Council. This may include servicing public amenities, maintaining landscape/ streetscape and park area of the Bundaberg CBD in order to ensure optimal functionality and user safety.
About You
- MR Truck License
- Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction (White Card)
- Demonstrated sound level ability and experience in the operation and basic maintenance of relevant
light mechanical plant & equipment - Demonstrated well developed knowledge, or the ability to gain knowledge, of methods of
maintenance and improvement of parks, streetscape, landscape and horticultural environments
including labouring, gardening, cleaning, maintenance and repair, pruning
vegetation, grass and turf management, herbicide application, playscape maintenance, traffic control
and signage set-out - A sound knowledge of/or the ability to acquire Traffic Management Installer qualification
- Demonstrated high level of ability to work effectively within a team environment under general
supervision ensuring that outcomes are achieved - Sound level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
with a variety of internal and external parties - Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia wide – name only).
- Experience in servicing public amenities and the safe use of cleaning agents and equipment (desired)
- Certificate II or higher in a horticultural related field, Commercial Operators Ticket (Herbicide)
(AC/DC) and or Chemical Awareness Certification (desired)
