ABOUT THE ROLE

Applications are sought from experienced teachers to join the Senior School's Language Support Program.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a team that empowers the learning experience of students. This position will focus on our EALD student needs. 

Please note, this is a casual opportunity at The King's School in North Parramatta. Work is onsite and predominately after school and into evening.

Role Insight:
As a pivotal member of our after-school Language Enrichment Program, you will provide specialised instruction aimed at enriching the language learning experiences of our students. This pivotal role requires your presence after school hours, from 3:30 PM onwards, spanning at least four afternoons each week, with a preference for five.

Your Impact:
• Devise and conduct captivating enrichment activities tailored to meet the unique needs of EALD students.
• Offer bespoke support to students, aiding them in surmounting language barriers to achieve academic excellence.
• Work in partnership with our teaching staff to weave enrichment activities seamlessly into the wider curriculum.
• Assess and track student progress, tweaking strategies as necessary to guarantee effective learning outcomes.

• A proven track record in educating EALD students, underpinned by a deep understanding of the intricacies and effective strategies for teaching students learning English as an additional language.
• Appropriate teaching qualifications or certifications.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a flair for motivating and inspiring students.
• A creative and innovative teaching approach, fueled by a passion for making a tangible difference in the educational landscape.
