Position Overview:
As a Disability Support Worker at Support Providers, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. You will provide personalized care and support, promoting independence and assisting with daily activities. Your empathetic approach and commitment to improving the quality of life for our clients will be the cornerstone of your role.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or community settings.
Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.
Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
Foster a supportive and respectful environment that encourages independence and self-confidence.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and team members to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of client progress and interactions.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Disability Support or a related field is preferred.
Compassionate and patient attitude, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility in adapting to varying schedules and client needs.
Certification in Disability Support/Mental Health First Aid is a plus
WWCC and NDISWC required
