About the roleThe Casual Medical Consultant position contributes to the provision of safe, best practice clinical services to the patients of, and when referred to, the Pregnancy Advisory Centre. In addition the role provides a specialist opinion to women attending for an unplanned pregnancy seeking an abortion and clinical leadership in association with other members of the Pregnancy Advisory Centre teams. Where applicable the Casual Medical Consultant will supervise the clinical practice of junior medical officers. As a member of the medical team you will assist Pregnancy Advisory Centre in planning and organising the delivery of clinical services and contribute to quality improvement initiatives to achieve best practice clinical services and this can include participation in research activities and clinical audits.QualificationsMust be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, or Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, or equivalent.About CALHNThe Central Adelaide Local Health Network includes South's Australia's major quaternary facility, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct.
