Southern NSW LHD has an easy and relaxed charm, offers diverse and eclectic art, cultural and shopping experiencesWhat you'll be doingThe Pharmacy Assistant/Technician provides technical support to the Pharmacy Department in all areas of hospital pharmacy practice under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.Selection Criteria * Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities required to work in hospital pharmacy.
- Recognised qualification in the field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or qualifications deemed by SNSWLHD to be equivalent (as per award) will enable appointment as a Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 (Cert III) or a Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 (Cert III) or Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 (Cert IV). If no recognised qualifications held, appointment will be as Pharmacy Assistant, Grade 1.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients and within a healthcare team.
- Demonstrated organisation skills, meeting deadlines, attention to details and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively use computer programs relevant to the hospital/pharmacy systems.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
