The Role:
CDC NSW is seeking experienced drivers for driving during weekends and mid-week late night shifts for Rail Replacement services and Special Event work. This is a Casual Bus Driver role working on weekends and late weeknights from our Northmead depot.
As a Bus Driver, you will assist customers in reaching their destinations and meet their commitments by providing a safe and comfortable journey.
We are seeking people with availability to work a Saturday night (minimum) or Saturday and Sunday nights. You need to be willing to work the afternoon and late evening shift hours between midday (12:00 to 05:00).
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering a prompt and reliable transport service
- Carry out pre departure checks and reporting mechanical defects
- Drive effectively and efficiently while ensuring passengers safety and comfort
- Identify, address and report unsafe or unhealthy conditions, practices or behavior in the workplace
- Maintain up to date knowledge of road laws and company policies
- The responsibility of using OPAL ticket machines and checking passes
- Accurately completing recording procedures such as daily journals, time records, customer loading data and fuel and charter records
Skills, Attributes and Experience which are essential to succeed in this role:
- Have a Heavy Vehicle Licence (MR and above) and carry your Logbook.
- Have an NSW Bus Drivers Authority
- Have a Working with Children Check
- Experience driving 12.5m bus
- Availability to work weekends and mid-week night rail shifts.
- Provide your current RMS driving history
- Knowledge and understanding of Work, Health and Safety Practices
- Always act SAFELY
- Have excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE skills
- Have excellent COMMUNICATION skills
- A positive, proactive approach and be well presented at all times
- Provide an Australian passport/current Australian working status
- Flexibility of times for different shifts
