Come and join the team at St Andrew's as a Security & Ancillary Services Officer. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This important role will also assist in maintaining Hospital grounds and facilities, including waste management and administrative duties as directed. Other key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular patrols and inspections of hospital buildings, grounds, and surrounds
- Monitoring access points and controlling access outside business hours
- Assisting with traffic control and providing exceptional customer service at the front entrance
- Reporting security incidents and unauthorised personnel to SA Police
- Monitoring and responding to CCTV footage to address potential threats
- Escorting staff to vehicles for safety
- Addressing hazards and ensuring patient and staff safety through incident reporting systems
- Assisting with waste management duties and grounds maintenance
- Undertaking administrative tasks as directed
This is a casual position working across a 28-day roster cycle including day and night shifts of 12 hours in length, will be for approx 2 shifts per week.About you
To perform this role successfully, it is preferred that candidates demonstrate:
- A current and valid SA Security Agents Licence and Driver's Licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in providing in house security services, preferably within a corporate environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Adherence to policies, procedures and timely task completion.
