About The Role
Master Builders ACT is currently looking for suitably qualified and experienced Trainers/Assessors across a range of disciplines to join our team on a casual basis. These roles support the business by delivering quality education to our clients and students.
Duties include:
- Deliver training primarily in the construction industry short courses.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to support the design and development of learning resources mapped to relevant units of competency.
- Identify learning needs of students and implement reasonable adjustment to deliver and/or assessment.
- Utilise presentation skills and incorporate an awareness of adult learning principles.
- Maintain industry and vocational currency.
- Operate compliantly, in line with the Standards for RTOs.
- Work practices are carried out in accordance with MBA Work Health and Safety Management System.
- Ensure the behaviour and work practices of students meets WHS regulations.
- Motivate and engage student learning and ensure that their work ethic is of a high standard.
- Support students whilst engaged in MBA training offerings.
- Provide student feedback as required.
- Assess participants as prescribed by the Standards for RTOs.
- Provide feedback to students within a timely manner.
- Undertake RPL assessment of students work as required.
- Hold current qualifications prescribed for your role in the RTO and our industry to delivery relevant training.
- Maintain vocational and industry currency as prescribed in the Standards for RTOs.
- Attend information sessions relevant to our industry and your role.
About You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Face-to-face training experience
- TAE40122/TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Possess competency for:
- CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
- 10830NAT - Course in Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention
- 11084NAT – Course in Asbestos Awareness
- 10852NAT - Course in Working Safely with Asbestos Containing Materials
- Experience in creating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Card or ability to obtain
