Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Due to the increase in both internal and external events, we are seeking applications for positions of Casual Waiting Staff to assist with the service delivery for all internal and external events for the College. The positions are critical roles within the College Events and Catering Team.
The positions will be remunerated under the Services Schedule of the Catholic Employers Single Enterprise Collective Agreement and will be paid as a Level 1/1 at the rate of $36.62 per hour.
Our wait staff play a key role in our organisation and are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and ensuring that all service operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities Include:
· The service of food and beverages in a warm yet professional manner
· Dressing the table and preparation of seating arrangements.
· Ensure that the dining area is always clean and well-maintained, including tables, chairs, and any decorative elements.
· Assist with the seating plan.
· As directed by the Front of House Supervisor ensure that food is prepared and delivered to guests in a timely and efficient manner.

The College is looking for someone who has:
· Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
· Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
· A positive attitude, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
· A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
· A knowledge of food and beverage service is an advantage.
· A professional, well-groomed presentation.
· Reliable and punctual.
· The ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
Essential Selection Criteria:
The applicant will have:
· Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College
· Experience in Front of House or Food and Beverage Supervision;
· Working with children check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain one;
· The right to work in Australia;
· RSA Certificate
· Knowledge of EventPro (an advantage)
· Qualifications in Hospitality, Events or similar preferred.
