You’ll be an integral part of the events team, working with all areas of the club such as the Events Centre, Mantra at Sharks Hotel, Aviary Rooftop Bar, the Health and Fitness Centre, Box Coffee Co., Cabana Bar and more!
The Senior Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for creating and planning a broad range of events at a high volume whilst providing administrative support to the Events Department.
In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Working closely with the General Manager- Sales and Events to establish relationships with new and existing clients for future business opportunities and strong conversion across Event Planners, PCO, Corporate, Association, Sporting & Schools market segments.
- Research and identify new business development opportunities with focus on residential conferences; create and continually update a pipeline of new Clients.
- Support the events team where required including facilitating meetings such as weekly BEO meetings and attending weekly meetings in the absence of the GM Sales and Events.
- Meet with and assist in developing and organising conferences, clients special events and celebratory occasions
- Prepare proposals and contracts for events such as residential conferences, weddings, gala events, sporting events, birthdays, concerts & gigs, school formals & graduations, award nights... and the list goes on!
- Build strong relationships with internal and external guests
- Liaise and negotiate with clients to achieve to identify opportunities to upsell and deliver beyond client expectations
- Co-ordinate day to day requirements of clients and action as necessary (e.g. complete and distribute BEO and internal communication within the business)
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports as required and within the allocated time frame
- Attend tradeshows, networking, community events and industry meetings as required
- Maintain a high standard of product knowledge and to assist clients with creating their special day
- Display a strong understanding of the current market and competitors in the Events industry
- Communicate effectively with internal & external suppliers to deliver events
Required Experience...
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years Coordinator experience and a history of client management
- Experience working under pressure with high volume of business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Current Queensland Certification in RSA
Preferred Skills...
- Ivvy experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Time Management skills is a must
- Able to be creative and use initiative to provide ‘best outcome’ in absence of Manager
