Category Buyer - Manchester

As the Category Manager for Manchester you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to enhance our own brand's presence in the homeware market. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing the product assortment, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Duties

• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including product selection, pricing, ticketing, VM and promotion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and Visual Merchandising, to ensure the successful execution of category plans.
• Monitor and analyze category performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to inform category strategy.
• Maintain a deep understanding of customer preferences and needs within the homeware segment.

Skills & Experience 

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or Buyer in Retail or supplier side. 
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Data-driven decision-making and proficient in using analytics tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
