Your Team
The purpose of the Merchandise team is to manage the execution of selected product ranges from an omni-channel perspective. This involves working collaboratively with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders to achieve both financial and non-financial key business objectives.
Your Role
As our Category Manager for Fitness Tech & Recreational Sports, you will be responsible for maximising category sales, profit and contribution through alignment of the range offering with trade partners, internal stakeholders & our customers.
This category presents a sizeable ongoing opportunity for the rebel business and forms a key part of rebel's brand vision. We are specifically looking for someone who is entrepreneurial and progressive in their approach and excited to push the rebel brand into new territory when it comes to the Fitness Tech & Recreational Sports space.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Manage achievement of sales, GP and Inventory budgets within category in order to achieve financial KPIs
- Build a category strategy, product range & promotional program each season that delivers strategic plan & financial KPIs
- Work collaboratively with marketing, online and VM teams to deliver engaging and successful campaigns in store and online
- Effectively communicate the category strategy & vision to key internal & external stakeholders
- Build positive and effective working relationships that align all parties to realise the category vision
- Proactively manage a high performing team through strong team activities & individual development in line with SRG people policies
- You have an unrivalled passion for the category and understand the impact trends have on our customer's behaviours
- Proven experience in a category / product manager, product buyer or buying role equivalent within the retail sector
- Consumer electronics and or wearables technology background, highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role
- Well-developed influencing and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- A proven background in working autonomously in a fast paced / dynamic environment
- Display an entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to thrive in ambiguity
