Category Specialist - Ict

A renowned organisation within the resources industry is seeking a Category Specialist to join them to lead procurement processes within their diverse and growing ICT category. This role will ensure the ongoing success of the organisation by supporting their ICT and corporate functions through the development and implementation of category plans and strategies. This opportunity is an initial 6-month contract with the chance for extension and/or ongoing work.
Your new role will involve:

• Leading end-to-end procurement processes for ICT goods and services
• Creating value through the development and implementation of category management strategies and plans
• Managing supplier performance and identifying areas for continuous improvement
• Advising management and business units on procurement best practice
• Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including internal business units, the ICT team, and suppliers

The successful candidate will have:

• Prior experience in ICT procurement and/or category management roles
• Strong communication skills and a history of building successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Experience in the resources sector is desired but not mandatory
• Qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, or similar is desired
