Catering and Cleaning Officers

We are looking for experienced, professional domestic support workers who will be responsible for providing Cooking and, or domestic services that ensure a safe and comfortable environment that enhances our residents’ quality of life. 

These services include: general cleaning of rooms and communal areas, food preparation and related services, cafe support, including meal preparation and customer service.   This care is provided as part of a holistic, person centered care model that takes account of residents’ needs, whether physical, emotional, social or spiritual.

What We Need from You:

• Relevant experience in the provision of Cleaning and Cooking Support Services in any or all services within cleaning, food preparation in residential aged care or a similar environment
• Certificate III in Hospitality and/or relevant experience (for Catering duties only)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to collaborative teamwork

The requirements for this role are outlined in the position description & include:

• Cleaning of residents rooms, bathrooms, communal and public areas within Mater Christi
• Set up cleaning trolleys with required supplies of cleaning materials
• Operate laundry equipment to launder residents’ clothing, and all linen and towels
• Serving food delivered from the Production Kitchen within food safety guidelines
• Delivery of meals to resident rooms and clearing of trays from rooms after meal service
• Preparation of texture modified food in line with individual residents’ documented plans
• Customer Service and Meal Preparation within our on-site cafe
• Completion of relevant documentation for record keeping
