The Catering Assistant provides friendly, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage preparation and services at the Wodonga TAFE cafeteria and Kids on Campus Childcare Centre.
This position works in the Facilities department. The Facilities department is a critical area of the Institute and is responsible for the day to day maintenance of all campus buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure the Institute is a safe and attractive place for staff, students, and visitors.
The successful candidate will have availability Monday to Friday, predominantly working within school hours. Please note there will be very minimal work over the school holiday periods.
About YouDuties:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Preparation of daily food and beverage services at Wodonga Tafe’s Cafeteria, Kids on Campus childcare centre, functions and events as required
- Receive, rotate and store all deliveries correctly
- Maintain fridge levels and rotate stock whilst restocking
- Monitor food temperatures and temperatures of refrigerators
- Strong Barista skills and experience
- Experience with food preparation
- Sound organisational skills
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Drivers licence as you will be required to deliver and set up for functions at multiple campus locations
- Desirable to hold Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) and Australian Food Handling Certificate
