This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated Community Social Worker team at Wyong Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based, best practice care to pediatric patients and their families.

About You

• You can demonstrate that you meet the essential requirements of the position and that you are eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• You possess a comprehension of the intricate psycho-social implications associated with various health conditions. Your expertise extends to a diverse spectrum of best practice social work interventions essential in the realm of community social work clinical practice.
• You will have a keen awareness of the multifaceted challenges individuals face, and you are adept at navigating and implementing effective strategies to address their holistic well-being. Your nuanced understanding serves as a cornerstone in delivering compassionate and tailored support to those in need, fostering resilience and empowerment within the communities you serve.
