About the role

The role of the Crew Member Pavements will be responsible for competently operating small trucks and other plant items as part of a team. In this role you will be responsible for undertaking tasks such as general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance and drainage works. In addition, this role will see you undertaking traffic control, concreting including formwork, steel fixing and finishing, as well as pipe laying duties. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current MR Drivers Licence
  • A current RMS Traffic Controller Certificate (Blue Card). 
  • A current RMS Traffic Control Implementation Certificate (Yellow Card). 
  • A current Construction General Induction Card - WorkSafe or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of roads and related infrastructure. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of sedimentation and erosion control measures.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $57.1k - $68.5k + a weekly $18.92 working allowance + 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a Temporary full-time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • This role is located at the Charmhaven Depot. 

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
