The Role:
Our Centre Based Respite (CBR) Coordinator is responsible for the running of Respite in our Community Centre, coordinating and engaging with multiple activities to encourage independence and socialisation for our elderly consumers.
The CBR Coordinator is an influential and rewarding position, where your planning, coordination and support directly and positively impacts the lives of our consumers. CBR runs 3 days per week out of our Community Centre, and the other 2 days are spent in the office performing the below tasks:
- Planning Activities
- Completing Shopping
- Coordinating Activities
- Menu Planning
- Managing Referrals
- Conducting Consumer Reviews
About You:
The successful candidate will have some or all of the below, including:
- REQUIRED: Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging) or Leisure & Lifestyle
- Experience working with Aged Consumers, including consumers with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease
- Clear passion and desire to provide the best quality of care to elderly clients
- A positive, can-do attitude, and resilience to persist with support and services
- Creativity and adaptability to challenges
- Experience managing a small team is desirable
- Food handling qualification is desirable
