The Opportunity
The Samaritans Foundation is currently seeking a Cook, someone who likes cooking for children. Our centre cares for 53 children a day, operating between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm.
The Cook is responsible for the provision of nutritious meals to the Centre’s children. They will -plan and prepare meals that meet the nutritional requirements as set down by the Education and Care Services National Regulations while maintaining the kitchen to safe and hygienic standards.

Desirables
- NSW food supervisor certificate. We will offer training to obtain.
- Safe food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge and understanding of safety and hygiene standards
- Previous experience in preparing food in an early learning centre.
The successful applicant will also possess or willingness to obtain the following; NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Provide first aid certificate and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates and undertake a pre-employment medical.
