We are currently seeking a Part-time Centre Cook (4 - 5 hours, Mon - Fri).
If you love cooking, interacting with children and can contribute to providing a culture of excellence towards education, care and supervision of children then this is the job for you!
Essential Criteria for Successful Applicants:
- Efficient and capable of cooking with the ability to follow a set menu.
- Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
- Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies and specific dietary requirements.
- Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events.
- Possess a professional and enthusiastic attitude.
- Help nourish the children in our care with your culinary expertise as well as any input you may have to contribute towards growing our own fresh produce.
- Be a positive person who will develop strong relationships with families, children, colleagues and the community.
- Have a current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
- Current Food Safety Certificate (or willing to obtain).
- Have a current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (or willing to obtain).
- Experience or education within an early childhood setting will be highly regarded.

This position will be rostered at the centre Monday to Friday for four to five hours per day. Rostered hours to be discussed upon application.
