Little Zak's is a leading early childhood education and care provider committed to providing exceptional learning experiences for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. With our brand new centre located in the vibrant Inner West area, we are dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment that promotes children's development, creativity, and social skills.

As the Centre Director of Little Zak's, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners. You will lead a team of passionate educators and work closely with families to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with our philosophy and values.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Provide visionary leadership and overall management of the centre.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, ensuring effective communication and teamwork among staff.
• Oversee the recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development of educators.
• Manage the centre's operations, including budgeting, rostering, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Educational Excellence:

• Develop and implement an innovative curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Monitor and evaluate educational programs to ensure they are engaging, stimulating, and tailored to individual children's needs.
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports children's holistic development.

Family Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with families and actively involve them in their child's learning journey.
• Conduct regular parent meetings, providing feedback on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
• Organize community events and initiatives to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration among families.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and National Quality Standards.
• Conduct regular assessments and quality audits to maintain high standards of care and education.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and staff.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) OR Diploma qualified
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education and care setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff members.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing exceptional care and education.
