Centre Director (Parental Leave Cover)

Are you ready to step into a role where you can make a real difference in children's lives? Come join the Uniting Early Learning (UEL) team as our Centre Director at Kirwan for Parental Leave coverage. 

We would ideally like someone to start with us in May to do a handover with our Centre Director before she embarks on mat leave! We are looking at a 7 month fixed term contract for this coverage. 

You'll be the heart and soul of our centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood services. You'll lead by example, managing operations, inspiring your team, and creating a safe, welcoming space for children and families 💖

Key Responsibilities:

• 👩‍🏫 Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team to deliver high-quality early years education and care. 
• 📈 Manage service performance, applying sound business and financial principles for effective resource allocation and cost management. 
• 🤝 Establish and maintain strong relationships with families through effective communication and collaboration. 
• 🌈 Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. 
• 📚 Monitor the implementation of EYLF and QKLG, driving service improvement strategies and Quality Improvement Plans. 
• 🤝 Collaborate with the Area Manager to achieve best practices and quality outcomes.

About You

You are passionate about providing a quality learning environment for children, fostering a sense of belonging and believe that all children should be treated with dignity and respect.

You exemplify personal drive and integrity and lead from the front. You take responsibility for the service in meeting its objectives by building a capable and engaged workforce to ensure quality outcomes for children and employees.

Your success toolkit:

• 🎓 Bachelor of Early Childhood, Diploma, or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification (required). 
• 💼 Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring early childhood education and care services. 
• 💡 Thorough knowledge of early childhood education practices, legislative frameworks, and quality guidelines. 
• 💰 Strong business and financial management acumen.
• 💬 Excellent communication and leadership skills.
