SalaryThe role is the CEO / General Manager of the Quairading Co-operative, a Foodworks supermarket and newsagency.
Quairading is 164 km east of Perth ( 2 hour drive ) with the town established in 1907 and a current shire population of around 1,000 persons with agriculture being the predominant industry.
There is a hospital and medical practice, a primary school and district high school ( pre-primary to year 10, with year 11 & 12 students usually boarding in Perth, Northam, or Merredin ). There is also a pool, large sports ground with most game facilities, modern tennis courts, lawn bowls and an 18 hole golf course.
The business employs 8 F/T and P/T staff and many casuals and trades 7 days a week with Monday to Wednesday and Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, Thursday 8.00am to 6.00pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8.00am to 12.00noon.
The role entails the complete control and responsibility for the operations and performance of this very important business which is essential to the community. The position reports directly to the Chairman of the Board.
The remuneration package includes an attractive base salary, superannuation and a large brick and iron company house, with the package negotiable between $135,000pa and $150,000pa.
