Based at our Carrum Downs Site, we are seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Support Officer to join our Production team. Reporting to the Operations Manager this role will assist in with the day-to-day support and longer-term maintenance of the equipment and improvement to the Lite n Easy facility. The role assists production to meet KPI’s and goals, through excellent communication and support. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out the weekly planned/preventative maintenance tasks and breakdown maintenance within the facility to enhance safety, amenity and production efficiency.
The duties of the Maintenance Support Officer:
- Attend to breakdowns.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
- Record all work into MEX system.
- Carry out tasks to a high standard, avoiding repeat issues.
- Identify potential faults in advance to avoid interruptions to production.
- Attend any position related training.
- Carry out Root Cause Analysis of issues.
- The hourly rate offered for this role is $40 - $42 plus super.
- Available for some out of hours work.
Experience and skills essential for this role:
- Completed a 4-year mechanical or electrical apprenticeship.
- Ability to undertake general maintenance and preventative maintenance activities
- Experience working on machinery with pneumatic systems and components
- A demonstrated commitment to safety is a must
- Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
- An excellent problem solver and have good analytical skills
- A motivated and energetic approach to work
- Able to work within tight time frames
Additional experience and skills preferred for this role:
- Forklift licence
- Food manufacturing experience
- Hydraulic experience
- Experience in Maintenance Recording Systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems.
- Welding Skills
