What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?
· You would be employed by Work & Training - the largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
· You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the site supervisor.
· Theory training is conducted at TasTAFE.
· Your Work & Training Field Officer provides mentoring and employment support.
· At the completion of your apprenticeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Concreting (CPC30320)
Working under direction of the Business owner, the successful applicant will learn all facets of the trade, including preparation, pour of concrete, smooth, and finish concrete for structures such as floors, ramps and paths.
Desired attributes:
· High level of physical fitness,
· The ability to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions,
· Great teamwork and communication skills,
· Ability to follow precise instructions and direction,
· Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety processes,
Essential attributes:
· Hold a current drivers licence and have a reliable vehicle.
· Have a White Card
· Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
