Who are we?
Little Leo's, a new childcare concept developed in Sydney, Australia, in 2023. Our centres feature a fun safari theme, creating an environment that encourages imagination, creativity, and play.
Designed for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, Little Leo's Killara is the first of many centres planned for the greater Sydney area. Position & Location:
Little Leo's Killara is on the lookout for Certificate III and Diploma Educators who are ready to transform our classrooms into a learner's paradise!
About the Role
- Plan and implement a quality program that reflects the EYLF
- Develop open communication with educators, children and families
- Use progressive routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children
- Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play
- Facilitate children’s play through weaving the children’s emerging interests with professional expertise
- Communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis, and respond to the emotional needs of the children
- Be extremely pro-active and use own initiative.
- Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes
- Conduct observation and evaluation of children’s development
- Maintain up-to-date records for each child within the group
- Comply with policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation and regulations
- Create a stimulating, positive and aesthetically pleasing environment to support children’s development
- Support other educators, manage own time efficiently along with the daily routines and daily requirements of the room and children in their care.
- Have excellent English communication skills
Who you are
- First of all you are ready to unleash your passion for Early Childhood Education to the point it's contagious to those around you!
- Secondly, you have:
- Certificate III or Diploma of Children's Services
- A current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
- Great knowledge of the National Quality Standards & Early Years Learning Framework
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Up to date first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis certifications
- Up to date child protection certification
