CVGT has a fantastic career opportunity to work in the field of Information and Technology located at the City of Greater Bendigo. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to expand their current skillset. All while working towards and completing their Traineeship.

The Information Technology unit’s purpose is to provide technology support and assistance for the IT services and solutions used within the City. The unit is central in ensuring that the City’s technology and information systems are innovative and fit for purpose so that staff can deliver efficient and optimised services to our community.
To be the successful applicant for this position you will need to be passionate about Information and Technology and its various functions, you will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in everything you do, you will also need to be a team player who understands the importance of teamwork but also have the ability to work individually and show initiative, be prepared to learn, be prepared to work hard and go the extra mile.
The successful applicant will have the ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality, and to communicate clearly and positively with staff.
You will also have excellent written and verbal skills, the ability to learn a range of IT tasks. Someone who is computer savvy and can easily adapt to using a range of computer systems, software and programs could be well suited to this role. 
Duties to learn then perform will include but not limited to:
  • Troubleshooting computer software and hardware issues.
  • Installing and configuring software applications.
  • Assisting CoGB staff with computer related enquiries.
  • Setting up new laptops.
  • Updating IT Knowledge base documentation.
  • Assisting with Helpdesk System improvement program, including automation and improvements to customer interface.

  • Assisting with support
  • Rolling out new systems
Requirements:
  • Driver’s licence, Police Check and Working With Children Check
