KiJo Care is an early learning education centre for children aged from 2 to 5 years old. The 39 place centre operates as a long day care centre offering day care and a dedicated pre-school program as per the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

The opportunity
KiJo Care has an exciting opportunity available for a Certificate III qualified Child Care Educator to join our team of wonderful educators on a contract basis for 12 months.
Your connection with the children, families and community is important to us, as is your passion and dedication to our profession. Candidates should have a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYLF and NQF and should be self driven, reliable, engaging educators who share views around children as capable and competent learners and strive to design and implement high quality educational programs for children of all ages.

Qualifications
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Previous experience working in early childhood education and care.
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
- Ability to build effective relationships with staff, children, parents and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- To work alongside and support the teaching staff of the Centre.
- To always adhere to the Education and Care Services National Regulations under the Education and Care Services National Law, child protection regulations as well as the policies, goals and philosophy of the Service.
- To uphold the ‘National Quality Framework’ and ‘National Quality Standards’ as per the ‘Service’s’ Philosophy, goals, policies and procedures.
- To uphold child well-being, education and safety as the main priority in the day to day duties.
- To maintain cleanliness of the centre on a day to day to basis, as reasonable requested by KiJo Care.
- To maintain the health and safety of the animals in the Centre.
- To adhere to all rotating rosters as set out by KiJo Care.
- To attend regular monthly team meetings as set by KiJo Care.
- To attend all mandatory training as set by KiJo Care.
