Job description


Thredbo Snowsports Coaches are primarily responsible for coaching skiing and/or snowboarding to guests on our seasonal programs while creating a safe, fun and enthusiastic learning environment. Our seasonal programs include recreational, competition and discipline-specific options with durations from 12 to 56 days.

Our coaches deliver programs in Alpine, freestyle moguls, free ski, snowboard slopestyle and snowboard-cross. We offer a range of private, adult, school group and kids lessons alongside our seasonal programs and it is expected that you will assist with these, outside of seasonal program commitments.

Certification is essential to success and we are particularly looking for ski and snowboard applicants with coaching certification and/or instructor certification at APSI Level 3, ISIA or international equivalent level and above (eg. NZSIA/SBNZ, PSIA/AASI, CSIA/CASI, BASI, IASI, ENSA/SNMSF, AMSI, etc.) plus experience.

If you’re up for an exciting opportunity to:

  • Work with all ages in a variety of lesson programs
  • Share an inexhaustible passion for teaching skiing / snowboarding in a safe and fun way
  • Maintain high standards of punctuality and professionalism with both appearance and conduct
  • Be available to work from early June through to late September, 5 days a week
  • Work up to 38hrs per week with a consistently flexible and fun approach
  • Positively engage in and support all areas of the Snowsports department
  • Communicate on a professional level with all staff and clientele

… with your experience and skills in:

  • Coach and/or instructor certification with a passion for developing all ages and abilities in skiing or snowboarding
  • Coaching experience is desirable
  • Hold or eligible to obtain a NSW Working with Children Check
