This role is accountable for the development, implementation and delivery of the transport assurance frameworks for the Woolworths Group, ensuring that the current business units, including their external partners, that make up the Woolworths Group exceed transport safety obligations. This role also provides specialised guidance, coaching and assistance to all businesses within the Group and supports the work of the Chain of Responsibility Chapter.
You will deliver Chain of Responsibility Assurance activities (including auditing) across Woolworths businesses and external parties, whilst collaborating with and uplifting all parts of the supply chain network. This role relies heavily on successful partnerships within the entire Woolworths network. These partnerships enable the most efficient outcome in line with business safety expectations for both on road and off road parties represented by Woolworths. You will operate within the safety management system framework to ensure safety risks are identified, assessed and controlled in line with the Woolworths risk appetite.
What you'll do:
- Provide expertise, mentoring and guidance to ensure that transport safety standards and legislative requirements are met by all parts of Woolworths Group, as well as compliance with the Safety Management System
- Conduct and coordinate assurance activities on internal business units and on external businesses in accordance with the annual assurance plan and established assurance frameworks and support the close out of non-conformities
- Develop specific documented practices that relate to transport safety/Chain of Responsibility either directly or through partnership with other key teams in safety, operations and support functions
- Develop a CoR assurance framework for Woolworths Group and other safety written reports
- Provide expert advice on issues that impact the effectiveness of the safety strategy, safety performance and opportunities to optimise safety outcomes.
- Lead and ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the relevant risk management program
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years of operational transport safety/Chain of Responsibility experience, with experience in retail supply chain desirable but not essential
- Experienced transport safety/Chain of Responsibility subject matter experience
- Proven experience in auditing, leading, supporting and influencing a variety of key stakeholders
- Able to use data and other insights and storytelling to enable informed decision making by senior leaders
- Lead Auditor Qualification or ability to acquire
