The Role
The Defence Enterprise Service Now Platform (DESP) team recognises the importance of adhering to the Defence Digital Group (DDG) and Joint Command Group (JCG) Change and Release Management Processes. DESP is seeking a skilled Change and Release Coordinator to support efforts in coordinating the Change and Release activities. This pivotal role involves ensuring and assisting projects and businesses through the DDG and JCG Change and Release management processes.
Change and Release Coordinator will coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others.
The Change and Release Coordinator will work with various stakeholders to oversee the scheduling of releases and ensure that the project has developed crucial Change and Release artefacts.

The Defence Enterprise Service Now Platform (DESP) is leading the implementation of the Enterprise Service Now Platform - the capability sets out to modernise and streamline operations within the Defence environment. As a core initiative, the Service Now Platform is poised to become a critical capability within the Defence environment, providing a foundational infrastructure to support the intricate and multifaceted business operations spanning various Defence domains. DESP is responsible for implementing the Service Now platform, platform enhancements, and operational business processes and ensuring its success through diligent oversight and proactive management. DESP currently has a dual mandate of engineering responsibilities and platform enhancement services. The engineering aspect of DESP involves meticulously overseeing the technical facets of the Service Now Platform, encompassing tasks such as platform design, infrastructure setup, release and change, configuration, and optimising the Service Now platform performance, reliability, and security.
Our Ideal Candidate
The Change and Release Coordinator is accountable under routine direction to perform and achieve moderately complex ICT service provision work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements. The Change and Release Coordinator will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the ICT service delivery function area based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessment, investigations and perform procedural, clerical and administrative support work to achieve results.
The Change and Release Coordinator will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing development.
